I agree there is something wrong here, but I don't know if that is the right
fix.  "go doc" and "go fmt" do work.  Perhaps we should s/godoc/goc/ and add a
note saying that godoc is also an independent command?

I think it's fine as is. If you read the whole page, it makes sense.

The only thing might be to extend the entries on godoc and gofmt, where are in
the list, to explain their two invocation methods. But vet is different as well
(go tool vet vs. go vet) and it's probably not worth going into the details
here.

I would also be happy with Ian's proposal to change the names in this table as
long as it also says they are available, with more general options, as
independent commands godoc and gofmt.
