I appreciate the effort, but I'm not convinced that an extensive listing is
needed: peoples that follow closely the project know how to get this info, and
other do not care to have so much details. Or am I missing something ?

If we do not need the listing, then it is enough for me to announce the bug-fix
releases in the release news for version 1.8.

I was just following the news procedure as it was done until now. I agree, that
the extensive listing is just a hint how much work was done to backport fixes
and won't carry additional information. So the background of the listing is just
to show the efforts done. The news on tryton.org is the first place for
publishers to get information...
Would you prefer just a short(er) news text or the proposal of udono?

IMO it's better to have a separate news. IIRC It was done like that for
the previous bugfix releases.
