As of Mountain Lion we must sign the pkg installer with the Google key
for a trouble-free install. I know how to do this, but there's some
bureaucracy involved. Not sure if I'll get it done in time for
go1.0.3.
In any case, since day one we've been asked for tarballs as an
alternative for people who don't like pkg installers.
I intend to follow up this change with a re-ordering of these
installation instructions, that puts the Mac OS X package and Windows
instructions above the tarball instructions.
Does that sound sane?
