It took me quite some time digging into the hg history to find out this is
documented
in comment in cmd/dist/build.c

I think ignoring filenames starting with '.' is natural, but for ‘_', it's not
that natural,
so I add this clarification (and also note that we do have lib9/_p9dir.c and
lib9/_exits.c).
